  • About

Ivy Tech is the largest college in Indiana and the largest community college system of its kind in the nation. Ivy Tech offers more than 150 programs & concentrations and a wide variety of short-term training programs & certifications, all designed to help Hoosiers obtain new skills, advance at work, or make a career change.
    Degrees include:
The Associate of Arts degree prepares students to transfer to a four-year college or university. The curriculum is almost entirely made up of general education and liberal arts courses.
The Associate of Applied Science degree prepares students for a career. AAS programs also may allow students to transfer to a four-year school.
Two kinds of Associate of Science degree programs are available: programs for technical/professional fields and for liberal arts. AS programs in technical and professional areas prepare students to start their career or to transfer to four-year institutions. AS liberal arts programs prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges or universities.
The Associate of Fine Arts degree prepares students for transfer to a related program at a four-year school or a career in the fine arts.
The Certificate can be completed in fewer credit hours than other types of academic programs. Certificate programs prepare students to sit for a certification exam in a short amount of time, and are offered in fields most likely to lead to employment or promotion.
The Technical Certificate is a one-year program that provides education in conceptual and technical skills for specific occupations.
